The China Committee on Ancient Village Protection and Development sent experts to Xiayuhe Village, Maliang Town, Baokang County, Xiangyang for a field survey from April 6 to 7, and held a meeting on the protection and utilization of the village.

Together with town and village leaders, as well as local culture protection volunteers, the experts visited Qi's Old House, Liujiaping Ancient Dwelling, Zhaigou Ancient Village, Canyon Landscape and Xuejiahe Primitive Ecology, experienced plaque hanging ceremony, rural banquet and other folk customs, and watched folk performances including lion dance and lotus picking dance.
