Bian embroidery, also known as Song embroidery, originated in what is today's Kaifeng, Central China's Henan Province, and is recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. With a history spanning over 800 years, it is one of China's five most renowned embroidery styles. Bian embroidery is known for its refined needlework, elegant color palettes and exquisite depictions of landscapes and figures.
