1 Chinese citizen aboard Russia's crashed passenger plane
VLADIVOSTOK, July 24 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Consulate General in Khabarovsk confirmed on Thursday that one Chinese citizen was aboard the passenger plane that crashed near the Russian city of Tynda.
No information is available about the passenger's identity at the moment.
Jiang Xiaoyang, consul general of China in Khabarovsk, said that the consulate has established a task force to travel to the crash site on Friday.
The An-24 aircraft, operated by Angara Airlines, was en route from Khabarovsk to Tynda with a stopover in Blagoveshchensk. There were 43 passengers on board, along with six crew members, Amur Oblast Governor Vasily Orlov said on social media Telegram.
Initial investigation has shown no survivors, according to local emergency services.
