BEIJING, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Finance on Wednesday said that it will issue 12.5 billion yuan (about 1.75 billion U.S. dollars) of renminbi-denominated treasury bonds in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Aug. 27.
Specific issuance arrangements will be announced on the website of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's Central Moneymarkets Unit, the ministry said.
It will be the fourth batch of such bonds issued this year. The first two batches, totaling 25 billion yuan, were issued in February and April, respectively. The third batch of 12.5 billion yuan was issued via tender in June.
