Senior CPC official meets Kyrgyz president
BEIJING, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- Communist Party of China (CPC) senior official Cai Qi on Wednesday met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Beijing.
Japarov was in China for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit 2025, as well as commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Cai, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said China is ready to work with Kyrgyzstan to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, promote mutually beneficial cooperation, and enrich the China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future.
Japarov said the grand commemorative event on Wednesday morning underscored the importance of remembering history and safeguarding peace, and demonstrated China's global influence.
Kyrgyzstan firmly supports China's position on issues concerning its core interests and will continue to actively advance all-round cooperation between the two countries, Japarov said.
