2025 China-ASEAN 'AI+Cross-Border E-Commerce' Innovative Application Competition holds results showcase in S China's Guangxi

On Sept. 5, the 2025 China-ASEAN "AI+Cross-Border E-Commerce" Innovative Application Competition held its results roadshow and award ceremony in Nanning, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The event featured project presentations, investment dialogues, solution solicitation, achievement releases, and award presentations.
The competition, themed "AI-empowered cross-border e-commerce makes global shopping more convenient and enjoyable," was part of the competition series of Guangxi's "AI for All: China-ASEAN" competition, also known as the "AI Super League."
Spotlighting the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and cross-border e-commerce, the 2025 China-ASEAN "AI+Cross-Border E-Commerce" Innovative Application Competition concluded in August 2025.
It attracted 906 teams, including 103 from ASEAN countries and 39 multinational teams, covering 31 Chinese provincial-level regions and the 10 ASEAN countries.

During the event held on Sept. 5, representatives of four winning companies, including Beijing-based AI technology and solution provider InfiMind and real-time multilingual communication service provider LiveData, introduced their projects at the roadshow presentation session, demonstrating how AI can address real-world challenges in cross-border e-commerce and the business value of the synergy between AI and cross-border e-commerce.
In a lively dialogue on investment held during the event, investment leaders including Ma Zhengwei, executive general manager of CICC Capital, Liu Zhiguo, president of the private equity investment arm of Beijing-based enterprise software and intelligent services provider Yongyou Network Technology Co., Ltd., as well as representatives of the four teams that showcased their projects during the roadshow presentation session, discussed investment and financing opportunities and challenges for new business forms and models enabled by AI in the cross-border e-commerce sector.

Meanwhile, AI application projects such as the ASEAN-oriented AI + cross-border e-commerce industry-education integration platform and the cross-border e-commerce public service platform of Beihai city, Guangxi, launched a call for solutions from the public, with a total budget of 3.2 million yuan ($450,000) earmarked for proposals.
During the results release session, a list titled "2025 China's Top 100 Next Unicorns in Southeast Asia" and a report on AI-powered e-commerce development trends in Southeast Asia in 2025 were launched, aiming to guide Chinese companies in expanding into ASEAN markets.
An awards ceremony was also held, presenting certificates to winners in both the college and open tracks of the competition.

Jointly hosted by Guangxi's authorities for commerce, education, science and technology, and big data development, the municipal governments of Guangxi's cities of Nanning and Chongzuo, the China International Electronic Commerce Center, and China's national teaching steering committee for e-commerce vocational education, the event aimed to build an open platform that connects national needs, Guangxi's strengths, and ASEAN's expectations.
This year, Guangxi has implemented an action plan to achieve leapfrog development in cross-border e-commerce through policy support and events such as the 2025 China-ASEAN "AI+Cross-Border E-Commerce" Innovative Application Competition.

The region has seen its cross-border e-commerce imports and exports exceed 27 billion yuan between January and July this year, up more than 120 percent year on year, with trade with ASEAN countries accounting for about 70 percent of the total.
